Screening: what is that?

Screening, like the name suggests, is a mechanical seperation process where material is made to pass over a sieve like structure that has definite and uniform apertures to grade out exactly the lump size of that material required.
What challenges does this process face?
It is a highly probability driven phenomenon.
Factors such as moisture, ore characteristics and ore size and shape have a huge impact.
As shown above, there are two outputs to one input, but the issue here is the size range, which is why double deck and tripple deck type of screens were devised.
